Yes, I know its been a ummm  long time? (serious understatement) since I last updated. No… guess you guys can't be rid of me that easily.

Remember, this chapter is still on a sort of trial thingy. Please please please review and tell me what you think. Yes, I know its short, but I thought that maybe some sort of update was needed, rather than making you wait longer.

Author's Note:

I put this at the top of the page this time coz I actually wanted people to read what I'm typing here this time.

This chapter is all thanks to certain people who umm… amid accusations, demands in reply to the short half page I wrote up about stopping the story, threats and other things, gave great advice about how to keep going- Reboo and Stephanie Yuy (for just the advice stuff). I don't think I really should… actually, I'm not going to name you people out there who issued the accusations demands and threats; you guys know who you are, but yeah, this chapter's for all of you out there who contacted me to tell me… stuff… about continuing.

Chapter 7:

'… Morning…'

Noin smiled tiredly in response at the younger girl next to her. It had been quite a night, first the ball, then the nightmares…

However, she at least, had managed some measure of sleep. Relena looked worse than she did, looking if not feeling as though she had stayed up all night.

mmm… looks like everyone else got the sleep they needed. Guess it was just Relena and me then who didn't get enough sleep. Wonder what was up with her? She should have slept fine; I mean, she should have been tired enough to have slept fine, what with all those dances that even her brother didn't manage to keep away… Noin thought, watching the rest of the guests who had stayed at the Peacecraft mansion come through the large wooden doors at one end of the room through half open eyes.

Speak of the devil… Noin watched with slightly raised brows as someone looking even more tired than she and Relena put together entered the hall. Milliardo Peacecraft, first heir to the Sanc Kingdom looked worse than she felt. Well… what a surprise. Wonder what's up with him… doesn't matter anyway. If he's too tired to do anything today, then hopefully, he'll stay away from Relena and I. Hopefully, he'll stay away the whole time I'm here…

Noin let her gaze wander till it came to a rest on the empty table in front of her. Sighing, she let her eyelids droop as another yawn threatened to force itself out. Raising her hand to rub at her eyes in attempt to wake herself up, she idly wrapped her fingers around the necklace again.

'… What was wrong last night? You dreamed so loudly that I couldn't hear myself think, let alone sleep.'

Noin looked up slowly in surprise. There had been no mistaking that voice, the aristocratically smooth tones of Milliardo Peacecraft. This time though, there had been something different in his voice. A cultured annoyance on the surface but there was an undertone of concern there, no mistake.

Noin glanced as inconspicuously as she could towards Relena, having gotten used to on some level the strange conversations that the two siblings seemed somehow to share without anyone- excluding her, it seemed, strangely enough, noticing or hearing if that was the right word for it. Not that any of it was out loud, she mused silently, more asleep than awake, finally accepting the fact of where the voices she had been hearing came from in her state of semiconsciousness.

'… Nothing. Go away.'

Noin hid a small grin. Relena was still obviously ticked at her brother for not having turned up to 'save' them sooner.

'Well… grumpy this morning, are we? Fine then, have it your way. Come tell me when you get over this temper tantrum of yours.'

'Tantrum?! Excuse me? I think I have a perfectly good reason to be angry when you forgot to turn up like you promised to… apart from the fact that I hardly got any sleep last night… so just… just leave me alone, and go away'

Sensing no reply from the elder of the two, Noin dragged her fixed gaze from the tabletop to look in his direction, who was, to her surprise, attacking his breakfast; fork travelled to mouth faster than she could clearly see. err…hehehe

Noin looked towards her own place, where a plate had been placed without her noticing.

'Umm… Noin? Aren't you going to eat anything? It's all going cold.' Relena asked curiously, staring at her friend.

'err… yeah. I was just about to…' Noin replied smiling brightly. Opps…
